Collins is originally from Arab, AL. He began playing the banjo at 11 years old. His influences include Earl Scruggs, J.D. Crowe, Anthony Bailey and his mother Tina Ray Miller. Joining the Darrell Webb Band has helped him fulfill a life-long dream of becoming a professional musician. His passion for strong, high-energy music makes him a perfect fit.
Collins, like many bluegrass musicians, began his career with the popular band Canaan’s Crossing with his mother Tina Ray a gifted fiddle player and vocalist in her own right.
